Health Challenges in Kasanje
Access to quality healthcare is a significant challenge in Kasanje as Residents often travel long distances for medical care, leading to delayed diagnoses, untreated illnesses, and poorer health outcomes due to:
- Lack of Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care: Inadequate facilities to handle emergency obstetric cases.
- No Medical Imaging Services: No access to essential diagnostic tools like X-rays, ultrasounds, or CT scans.
- No Ambulance Service: No reliable transportation for emergency patient transfers.
The Need
These gaps in healthcare services underscore the urgent need for upgrading and expanding First Community Hospital to provide quality care to the community.
Objective:
Raise $2 million to construct and equip a new hospital block for secondary and tertiary patient care.
